Cabinets, dishes, & celebrities..

I haven't said my piece about the Nobel Prize thing yet, and I have a few minutes while the coffee is brewing..

I am afraid that he is becoming more of a celebrity than a president, and I'm not sure all the hype about him is warranted.. Winning the Nobel prize for something we hope he does or is trying to do is jumping the gun.. There are people who have devoted their entire lives to bringing about peace, they have no prize.. This guy is in office for not even a year and he won it? I just do not agree with it..

But as I was saying.. The hype.. People, you all really need to calm down a little.. Yes, the man is our president, yes, he is the most powerful man in the country, and yeah we know he's black (Can we get over that already? You do know that he's half white too don't you?) but seriously, he's not a god.. I just think it's time that everyone took a step back for a minute and stop acting like a bunch of love sick groupies.. Yeah I voted for him too, although I would prefer to look at it as less of a vote for Obama and more of a vote against Palin.. But the 'Obama Fever' is getting really old..

Anyway, we had a busy day yesterday.. We did the grocery shopping (spent $86.00 and got 2 weeks of groceries!) then we came home and organized the kitchen cabinets.. We were running out of room in the cabinets so we just decided to pull everything out.. Then we went a little further and decided to rearrange cabinets.. We moved dishes and moved stuff from one cabinet to another.. Clay decided that he didn't like the sliding cabinet doors over the sink so he took the off.. Then we figured we would set the dished in the open cabinet and kind of display them.. It was a good idea, except my kitchen is red and my dishes are blue.. So we ran to Target and got some shelf paper and red dishes.. So now the kitchen looks great and now all I have to do is pack up my old dishes and give them away..

We have a bunch of stuff to do today.. There are a couple more cabinets to organize, we are going to clean out the freezers, and rake and mow the back yard.. Not to mention all the laundry I need to do.. Yay me!
